I’ve been studying emotions as of lately. Shame has sent me on a nice journey. Although the holy spirit may use shame (conviction), shame (condemnation) is a great tool in the enemies arsenal. In Win Worely’s booklet Maimed by Shame he brings up much of the bible verses you find on the subject which are mainly found in Proverbs.

The little golden nugget I found was in the psychological field. When I realized those stuck in addictions and bad behavioral patterns. Shame played a big role in the sense of people were reinforcing the shame on themselves because of there own negative self worth and image. Mostly shame and guilt is a tool of control and demonic in its ways. Lets face it. Even if you did something wrong. Can you earn a way back to God?
